Cut Paper Circus Collage Tuesday afternoon

IMG_1644

Today we will make paper collages in the spirit of Henri Matisse. We will learn a few facts first: he was French, born in 1869, trained as a lawyer, as his work developed he began to use color as a method of expression. He was friends with Picasso and his son Pierre opened a gallery in New York to exhibit his work, and the art of his father’s friends, as well.

We will cut a composition illustrating what we find at the circus!
